Diverse ricerche, leggendo i dati in serie storica, hanno messo in evidenza un progressivo ritrarsi dei giovani, in Italia ma anche nella maggior parte degli altri paesi dell\u2019Europa Occidentale, dalla sfera dell\u2019impegno politico e sociale. Se non \u00e8 una novit\u00e0 la tendenza a disertare le sedi istituzionali della partecipazione – in primo luogo i partiti – pu\u00f2 forse fare pi\u00f9 effetto constatare che le generazioni pi\u00f9 mature hanno \u201csorpassato\u201d i giovani anche nelle forme di attivismo non istituzionalizzato, di movimento e nella protesta: ragion per cui alcuni studiosi hanno recentemente sollevato la questione dell\u2019 \u201cingrigirsi\u201d delle democrazie occidentali.<\/p>\n

\u00c8 necessario tuttavia guardare in profondit\u00e0 a questi fenomeni, anzich\u00e9 accontentarsi di diagnosi frettolose su una presunta \u201capatia\u201d delle giovani generazioni. Cercheremo dunque, nel corso della serata, di esplorare alcune ipotesi e elementi utili per guardare da vicino i giovani dei nostri giorni. Partendo dal prendere sul serio la questione di cosa significhi crescere in un tempo che ha sostituito l\u2019idea di futuro come miglioramento da attendere e preparare con fiducia con l\u2019immagine di un futuro intriso di minacce e preoccupazioni da temere e da cui difendersi.<\/p>\n
