Social and Turing Activity – Visit to the City of Urbino
On September 21th (in the afternoon, 3:00 pm) we are organizing a tour in Urbino with the following itinerary (duration: 2-3 hours): visit to the Palazzo Ducale (National Gallery of the Marche Region), Oratori di San Giovanni e San Giuseppe, Casa di Raffaello (Raffaello Sanzio’s house).

Second Announcement and Call For Papers
The Centre for Social and Environmental Research (CSEAR) is an international membership-based network that aims to mobilise accounting scholarship to enable a more sustainable society. CSEAR
is a world-recognized community of scholars who engage with students, activists, practitioners, policy makers and other interested groups to generate and disseminate knowledge and build capacity on social and environmental accounting and accountability.
The CSEAR Italy conferences, which have been organized bi-annually since 2006, provide an interdisciplinary forum for encouraging and facilitating research and debate in social and environmental accounting and accountability. In particular, the 7th Italian CSEAR Conference gives opportunities to present and discuss research ideas, emerging projects and working/full papers with the purpose of encouraging constructive interaction, engagement and dialogue in a friendly and supportive environment.
CSEAR Italy Conference: Plenary Sessions
We are pleased to announce that Professor Jan Bebbington (University of St. Andrews), Professor Jesse Dillard (Portland State University) and Professor Carlos Larrinaga Gonzales (University of Burgos) will be the plenary speakers for the 7th CSEAR Italy Conference.
Practitioners Session
For the practitioners forum “Accounting, Accountability and Society: nuove misure delle performance?”, that will be chaired by Prof. Antonio Matacena (University of Bologna), we are equally pleased to welcome: Prof. Paolo Ricci, President of the GBS group – Gruppo di Studio per il Bilancio Sociale (Social Report Working Group); Prof. Marcantonio Ruisi; President of EBEN-Italy; Dott. Balestieri Paolo, President of Chartered Accounting Association of Pesaro-Urbino. In addition, this session will involve Chartered Accounting delegates, practitioners and representatives of the entrepreneurial, and institutional local fabric. The official language for the Forum will be Italian.
Participation in the conference will attribute professional training credits to Chartered Accounting Members.
Parallel Sessions
Presentations of full papers followed by discussion. Each parallel session will have a chair.
Workshop Sessions
These run for a shorter time period (10-15 minutes each followed by a discussion) and may include Phd outlines and in-progress research projects for comments.
Submissions procedure
Participants are kindly invited to submit abstracts (no more than 500 words plus references) of research projects, working and full papers to the following email address: csearitaly2018@uniurb.it.
Works and projects could be submitted and discussed in English. It is important to note that the submitted works/papers should be anonymous. The following information should be included in a separate file:
– Title of the contribution
– Author(s) and organization affiliation (e.g. university, department, organization, etc.)
– Contact Information (address, telephone, fax, e-mail etc.)
– Type of contribution (full papers, papers in progress, ideas for research project, thesis in progress)
– References
Publishing/Editorial opportunities
All papers/abstract will be peer-reviewed prior to acceptance for the Conference. A number of papers will be selected for submission to Journal of Management and Governance following a fast-track review process for publication (http://link.springer.com/journal/10997); In addition, a number of papers will be eligible for submission to: Piccola Impresa/Small Business (http://rivistapiccolaimpresa.uniurb.it), fast-track review process for publication; International Journal of Corporate Social Responsibility (Springer Open Access Journal, https://jcsr.springeropen.com/ ISSN: 2366-0066, print version;

2nd CSEAR Italy Doctoral Colloquium

The aim of the colloquium is to provide an opportunity for emerging scholars in social and environmental accounting to present and discuss their research projects and papers alongside a cohort of distinguished scholars. The colloquium will be relatively informal to enable intensive intellectual debate and sharing of ideas and projects with the specific purpose of encouraging constructive interaction, engagement and intellectual debate in a friendly and supportive environment.
The colloquium will combine plenary sessions with small group discussion sessions guided by a few national and international leading scholars in social accounting and accountability research. Namely, we are pleased to announce that Professor Carlos Larrinaga Gonzales (University of Burgos), Professor Samuel O. Idowu (London Metropolitan University) and Prof. René Schmidpeter (Center for Advanced Sustainable Management, Cologne Business School) will intervene at the Doctoral Colloquium, that will be coordinated by Maria-Gabriella Baldarelli (University of Bologna), Massimo Contrafatto (University of Bergamo), Ericka Costa (University of Trento) and Mara Del Baldo (University of Urbino) in collaboration with members of the Scientific Committee of the 7th CSEAR Italy Conference.
Selection of Participants and Applications
Scholars (including emerging scholars such as Ph.D. Students, Post-doctoral researchers and early career fellows) are invited to submit their research proposals (e.g. ideas, projects and working/full papers) to be selected for the participation to the Colloquium. To encourage constructive dialogue and engagement, the number of scholars invited to participate will be limited. A special welcome is addressed to Pdh students from the Graduate school of Colonia Business School, Center for Advanced Sustainable Management (CASM).
In particular, emerging scholars wishing to participate to the colloquium are kindly invited to submit in English:
1. An extended abstract (no more than 1,000 words, excluding references) of their research proposal, which summarizes the title and focus of the research, the research question(s) pursued, the theoretical and methodological frameworks adopted, the discussion of the findings to date and the potential implication/contribution of the project.
2. A one-page CV, indicating the name, email, affiliation, years in the PhD program to date (if applicable), PhD supervisor (if applicable) and any other relevant information about the research activity undertaken.
Participants are kindly invited to submit their applications no later than 20th July 2018 to the following e-mail address: csearitaly2018@uniurb.it It is important to indicate in the subject of the email “2nd CSEAR Italy Doctoral Colloquium”.
Notification of acceptance will be given by 5th August 2018. Early registration dead line is: 15th August 2018.
Registration and Location
The participation in the 2nd CSEAR Italy International Doctoral Colloquium is free of charge. However, the participants to the International Doctoral Colloquium are expected to join the 7th CSEAR Italian Conference and are invited to present and submit their work to the conference to be include within the parallel and workshop sessions and rendering it eligible to the connected publishing opportunities.
